What we separate
Private email is stored apart from display identity and never appears on public pages or in analytics. Consent evidence stays in operations, not public content.
REAL GARDENERS. REAL DIRT. THE SH*T ONLY WE UNDERSTAND.
Minimum necessary
Browsing is public. We collect the smallest amount needed to moderate a submission, send an opted-in email, and protect participation from abuse.
Private email is stored apart from display identity and never appears on public pages or in analytics. Consent evidence stays in operations, not public content.
A publication notification, Dirt Letter subscription, and product alert are separate choices. We do not add contributors to marketing email merely because a saying is published.
New submissions ask clearly before SGS may share an approved saying on SGS-owned social accounts. Provider credentials are held only in encrypted server-side operations records; public social cards do not include private contributor details.
We use privacy-preserving salted hashes for rate limits and replay prevention. First-party analytics record aggregate product actions, not raw IP addresses, emails, submission text, payment data, or social tokens.
Images require MIME and content checks, metadata removal, source, credit, alt text, hashes, dimensions, and a rights state before public use. Amazon links and Fourthwall checkout are separate partner services with their own terms.
Counsel review requiredThis is an operational draft, not legal advice or a representation of legal approval. Commercial use, privacy, trademark, tax, and provider terms require qualified review before launch.
